This Electric Corvette Goes Faster Than a Gas-Powered Z06 17 Dec '19
Genovation Cars, the Maryland-based manufacturer responsible for the $750,000 Corvette-based GXE electric supercar, announced it has broken its own top speed record for street legal EVs, with a speed of 211.8 mph – one mph faster than before.
According to Genovation, the record-breaking speed happened at the Kennedy Space Center runway in Merritt Island, Florida, with noted runway racer Johnny Bohmer at the wheel. The GXE's previous record was set just a few months ago in September at the same location. The International Mile Racing Association was on the scene to witness and certify the speed.
